Run for Hunger 5K

The 1st Annual Run for Hunger 5k Run/Walk will take place Saturday August 12, 2023. This is a fundraising event which benefits the Second Harvest North Central Food Bank.

One in 6 children in the region are food insecure.
Over 20,000 people in the 7 county region are food insecure.
Searches for “Food Support” last year were up 20% from the previous year.
Second Harvest helps over 20,000 people every month through local food shelves, senior programs, child hunger programs and the Mobile Popup Pantry program. Second Harvest’s Mobile Popup Pantry Program brings food to people in more than 20 communities throughout the region. This funding will help the Mobile Popup Pantry program provide food to neighbors throughout the region.
