Porters & Poetry

It’s April, which means it’s National Poetry Month! So the Uncommon Loons will once again be hosting Porters & Poetry, this time focusing on food and drink!
Have a poem on the art of baking bread with your immigrant grandmother? Maybe a short piece on a slice of key lime pie you particularly enjoyed? Or perhaps you’ve recently written an epic poem about wine’s connection to the earth? We wanna hear it. (Brownie points for anyone with a poem about beer, specifically porters!)
Being an open mic, you’re free to read your, or your favorite published poet’s, poems on any topic. But we’re looking forward to being horribly hungry once this reading is done.
