“En Plein Air” Painting Class

Celebrate summer and learn to paint outdoors! Join artist Nelia Harper for an introduction to “en plein air” or “in the open air” painting. Get a jump start on landscape painting by understanding the essentials of composition, value, and color. Nelia will demonstrate with oil paint and share tools and techniques for simplifying the landscape. Each participant will have time to work on their own painting with one-on-one instruction. All mediums welcome. Bring your painting materials, questions, and sense of adventure. We will meet at MacRostie Art Center before venturing outside.
