Grand Rapids Indians beat the Warroad Warriors 9 to 3 to remain undefeated 5 and 0 this high school hockey season. On Saturday, McLaughlin got things started for the Thunderhawks with an early power play goal at 2:37. Warroad responded with a score from Beau Wilmer to tie the game at 6:20 in the first period. Hain put Grand Rapids back in front at 10:06 and Keaghan Graeber extended the lead to 3-1 at 12:09. Carter Pelland made it a one-goal game with a late goal at 15:47. It was all Thunderhawks in the second period. McLaughlin scored on a power play at 2:36 and Hain scored two minutes later to put Grand Rapids on top, 5-2. After Stampohar scored at 12:53, Miller added a short-handed goal at 15:24. Hain added two more goals in the third period, including one short-handed. Gabe Holum had 16 saves for the Thunderhawks and Warroad’s Parker Orchard had 35.
