
Serbian Crescent Cookies
Description
Serbian Crescent Cookies is a very basic cookie recipe. They're very buttery with a pronounced flavor. Matched with a cup of Earl Grey or Almond Rocker they're a great excuse to call over friends on a rainy day for a small tea party or just for a tasty treat.
Ingredients
- 1 c butter
- 6 oz cream cheese
- 2 c flour
- 10 oz apricot jam
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Cream butter & cream cheese until light and fluffy.
Add 2 cups flour. Stir with wooden spoon and knead together lightly.
Divide dough into 4 balls. Refrigerate fro two (2) hours. Roll one (1) ball into circle. (12-14" diameter) Sprinkle a little flour before rolling.
Spread about 3 tablespoons apricot jam on circle. Cut into wedges (14-18) and roll up, lightly.
Bake, ungreased pan, 15-18 minutes, until very light brown.
Remove from pan immediately. Dip spatula in glass of water, if cookie sticks. Roll in sugar to look pretty.
