Itasca Community Television Inc., is a non-profit organization established to provide local content to area TV cable television providers. It is funded by a service agreement with the Grand Rapids Area Cable Commission, grants, service fees and memberships.

City Works is a show focused on government issues in the City of Grand Rapids. The host of City works is Shawn Gillen, and guests are often people from departments of the city. The purpose of the show is to highlight the goings-on behind the scenes of the City of Grand Rapids, and to inform the viewers of need-to know municipal topics.

    Shawn Gillen

    Shawn Gillen is the current host of City Works and is the Administrator for the City of Grand Rapids. He has spent thirteen years in the field of public administration. He came to Grand Rapids from Lexington, Kentucky where he worked with the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government. Prior to moving to Grand Rapids Shawn was a visiting assistant professor of public administration at Eastern Kentucky University where he taught courses on public finance, public budgeting, and intergovernmental relations.  read more »
