Bebop with Aesop

The third and fourth graders from both Forest Lake and Cohasset Elementary Schools to the stage at the Myles Reif Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Forest Lake in the morning and Cohasset in the afternoon, under the direction of Lindsay Champion. The muscical performed by the students was an adaptation of some of Aesop's Fables, illustrated with song, dance and some acting too.

Each Saturday afternoon at 3:00pm, ICTV pulls programs out of the archive of past productions and plays them on the Public Access Channel. Coming up on Saturday, March 11, we will be replaying the Grand Rapids Area Male Chorus concert, “A Potpourri of Songs,” from April of 2012. This will be followed by the Grand Rapids Area Library program, “Artaria String Quartet.” The following week, March 18, will begin with the 2016 Summer Concert Series program, “Songs We Love to Sing.” This will be followed by the Hobbies, Inc.

Alzheimer’s Disease

The latest presentation in Grand Itasca’s “Doc Talk” series took place on Tuesday, February 21 at the Itasca County Family YMCA. The presenters were third year medical students, Carter Rohling and Kelly McKinnon. The pair gave a presentation on Alzheimer’s Disease. During their presentation they talked about: what Alzheimer’s Disease looks like at it’s different stages, what are the risk factors, what treatments are available to help those suffering from it, and more.  The topic of Caregiver Fatigue was also touched upon. ICTV staff was in the audience to record this presentation.
