Snapshots of a Curious Political Journey

Former Duluth mayor, Don Ness, was the presenter for the Grand Rapids Area Library program held on February 9. Using his new book, “Hillsider,” as a springboard, Ness discussed his 15-year journey from city councilor to mayor. He shared some of the entertaining, and even embarrassing, moments.  There was even discussion about our current political climate, and how people should involve themselves in it.

From the ICTV Archives

Each Saturday afternoon at 3:00pm, ICTV pulls programs out of the archive of past productions and plays them on the Public Access Channel. Coming up on Saturday, February 11, we will be replaying the Itasca Community Chorus concert, “Blast From The Past.” This will be followed by the 60th anniversary concert for the Grand Rapids Area Male Chorus.

The Facts Behind Writing Crime Fiction

On Tuesday, January 31, the Grand Rapids Area Library held a program featuring NE MN District Court Judge Mark Munger. Munger is the author of ten books, both fiction and nonfiction. During his presentation Munger talked about: his background, his writing experience, and what went into the process of creating his newest novel, “Boomtown.” Recorded by volunteer David Hayes, this program can be seen on ICTV’s Public Access Channel in the coming weeks. Please keep an eye on ICTV’s schedule for specific air dates and times.
