The latest presentation in Grand Itasca’s “Doc Talk” series took place on Tuesday, February 21 at the Itasca County Family YMCA. The presenters were third year medical students, Carter Rohling and Kelly McKinnon. The pair gave a presentation on Alzheimer’s Disease. During their presentation they talked about: what Alzheimer’s Disease looks like at it’s different stages, what are the risk factors, what treatments are available to help those suffering from it, and more.  The topic of Caregiver Fatigue was also touched upon. ICTV staff was in the audience to record this presentation.

Snapshots of a Curious Political Journey

Former Duluth mayor, Don Ness, was the presenter for the Grand Rapids Area Library program held on February 9. Using his new book, “Hillsider,” as a springboard, Ness discussed his 15-year journey from city councilor to mayor. He shared some of the entertaining, and even embarrassing, moments.  There was even discussion about our current political climate, and how people should involve themselves in it.
