The Nutcracker

The newly renovated Reif Performing Arts Center was the stage for the annual performance of “The Nutcracker,” by the Reif Dance students. Filled with classic holiday music, bright costumes, and beautiful dancing; the show filled the crowd with holiday joy. ICTV staff was in the audience on Saturday, December 10, to record the performance. You can see it on ICTV’s Public Access channel on: Saturday, December 24 at 7:30pm; Sunday, December 25 at 9:30pm; Thursday, December 29 at 2:30pm; and Saturday, December 31 at 9:30pm.

Each Saturday afternoon at 3:00pm, ICTV pulls programs out of the archive of past productions and plays them on the Public Access Channel. Coming up on Saturday, December 17, we will be playing some Christmas movies. We will begin with the public domain version of, “The Miracle on 34th Street,” from 1955. This will be followed by, “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.” The following week, December 24, will feature the Late Nite Black/White Christmas Special. This program includes the 1935 version of “Scrooge,” followed by, “The Great Rupert,” from 1950.

The Music Man

The Myles Reif Performing Arts Center was the stage for the Grand Rapids Players production of “The Music Man.” Two Rivers Video staff was in the audience on the night of November 20 to record the performance. The show featured bright costumes, live orchestral music, spirited singing, and fun for all in attendance. You can see this performance on ICTV’s Public Access Channel in the coming weeks.
