The Facts Behind Writing Crime Fiction

On Tuesday, January 31, the Grand Rapids Area Library held a program featuring NE MN District Court Judge Mark Munger. Munger is the author of ten books, both fiction and nonfiction. During his presentation Munger talked about: his background, his writing experience, and what went into the process of creating his newest novel, “Boomtown.” Recorded by volunteer David Hayes, this program can be seen on ICTV’s Public Access Channel in the coming weeks. Please keep an eye on ICTV’s schedule for specific air dates and times.

From the ICTV Archives

Each Saturday afternoon at 3:00pm, ICTV pulls programs out of the archive of past productions and plays them on the Public Access Channel. Coming up on Saturday, January 28, we will be replaying the third of four Circles of Support programs talking about the issues surrounding heroin. This program is titled, “Heroin – A Medical Perspective.” This will be followed by three programs talking about the Quasquicentennial Time Capsule events that took place in Grand Rapids this past summer.

So This is Menopause

The latest presentation in Grand Itasca’s “Doc Talk” series took place on Tuesday, January 17 at the Itasca County Family YMCA. The presenter was Dr. Derek Beyer, who talked about menopause. During his presentation, Dr. Beyer discussed: what menopause is, some of the common symptoms, what treatments are currently being used, and more. ICTV staff was part of the audience, and recorded his presentation. You can see it on ICTV’s Public Access Channel on Thursday, January 26 at 7:00pm. It will also play on ICTV’s Government Access Channel on Saturday, January 28 at 3:30pm.
